FIRST TOOL LINK: http://beta.mural.ly/
3 Things I liked about these tech tools:
1.At the very beginning, to help you learn how to make a mural they show you a video. That helped me be sure what I was doing in this site.
2.In the mural you can add all sorts of files. Ex: Videos, images, gifs, etc..
3. It is your decision whether other people can see it, the whole world, make it private, or send invitations.
3 Things I would improve about the site:
1. When it comes to making murals, there are only a limited amount (3 or 4) types you can use. If I could change it, I would add more templates
2. When you look at other murals, there is not certain process which shows you all the files. The webpage only displays the mural as a whole.
3. The mural has a limited amount of space in where to put the files. I would make it an infinite board.
2 ways I could use the tool:
1. When it comes to publicity, people could use the mural to make posters online and share them to people who could be interested.
2. For explaining a process to make food, or play a game, or anything that requires multiple steps. One could use pictures and explaining thoroughly each step.
SECOND TOOL LINK: https://www.mentimeter.com/
3 Things I liked about these tech tools:
1.At the front of the page, they show you 3 easy steps on how to use this tool.
2. Also, if you don't understand the three steps at the bottom, you may watch a video.
3. Anyone who has the link may vote on the answers of your question and appears instantly in your online graph.
3 Things I would improve about the site:
1. There are only two themes to choose from when making the online graph.
2. In order for people to comment or vote on your question they have to be given a specific link. They can't get into the website and look at all available questions there are.
3. The website is only for making graphs, and, if you don't have many people who will know about your link then you won't be able to get good results. The website should help you do something based on the graphs, not only make a graph for you which you can make by your own.
2 ways I could use the tool:
1. When voting on a president for the Student Council or any organization, one may use this website to know who is the person who has more followers and is completely anonymous.
2. When you are trying to get someone out of power and show them which traits are the ones who people dislike the most, you could make a graph with anonymous votes.

Nanotechnology
What we know about the topic: Nanotechnology is a form of technology which scientists use in order to control the same amount of technologies but in smaller sizes. 'Baby Technology'. These materials include chips and software's that are to be put in small devices, such as ipods.
Questions and wonders about the topic:
When was it create and how?
Who invented the concept of nanotechnology?
Which famous companies have used nanotechnology in their inventions?
LINKS:
http://crnano.org/whatis.htm
http://nanotechnology.com/
http://www.howstuffworks.com/nanotechnology.htm
Information learned:
-The first man to popularize nanotechnology was Researcher K. Eric Drexler
-It started in the 1980's
-He wanted to construct technologies that were smaller sizes than a cell in order to use them in Robotics, computers, and motors. Many people told him he wouldn't be able, but K. Eric proved them wrong.
-In order for a technology to be considered a 'nanotechnology' they must measure between 1 and 100 nano meters (a nano meter is 1 billionth of a meter).
-Currently, nanotechnology means that every atom of a machine is a technology of its own. But, when combined, they work together to fulfill a mission.
-The nanotechnology is made up of various generations, just like the iPhone (3G, 4, 4S, 5)
-Generation 1 is the one currently being worked on. It focuses on passive structures, meaning that all the 'atoms' work to generate one task.
-The second generation will be the same as the first, but the nanotech will make multitasks.
-The third generation will introduce systems that will be made up of thousands of nanostructures.
-The fourth, or last generation will have nanosystems working in the molecular level; these structures will be just like animal cells, living on their own!
SUMMARY OF HOW CONNECTS TO LIFE: Nanotechnology is one of the advances in science that will help us invent new cures and ways of managing difficult and mortal situations. It is an advance that will relate to our lives because now we won't be the only ones living and working in a nano scale. Thus, if our cells don't function properly, we will have another source of molecular function. Also, technology and other advances will have more opportunities to develop and function in multi tasks, and properly. We will soon see a change in the world we live in, and we will not notice it is all due to mini technologies making the task function. Finally, weapons and materials will be advanced and improved which can be seen as a good or bad thing. If we decide to use nanotech in a positive way, we see improvements. But, if we use it in the wrong ways, disasters may approach our lives.
QUESTIONS:
When will they reach the 4th generation?
What is the first advance they will make with nanotech?
How will they be able to make so complex things?

Google Day 2
Goals for Google Day 2:
1. Start getting all the scenes saved onto the computer
2. Divide the website (weebly) with all the sections of movies that will have the gifs
3. Start making gifs with gifninja.com
Links:
http://keepvid.com : This link helped me download the Youtube videos onto my desktopl. Thanks to this site, I was able to convert the scenes I wanted to use as gifs into files.
http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch001002.htm: At first, I had no clue how to download scenes from Youtube onto my computer. But, I reached this website by google search. Here it described how to download and gave me two websites that helped me convert my videos into files.
Evidence and Description of Learned:
By taking 85 minutes to just focus on making gifs, I had the opportunity to learn many new things about the web. Firstly, I learned that when you have a doubt about how something works, Google it! really helps. Secondly, the Youtube videos are have a copyright, and thus aren't allowed to edit. I learned this by trying to edit gifs on Windows Movie Maker. While I tried to drop in the downloaded videos, an x would appear. Then, Ms. Shawn told me what I described above. While making gifs in NinjaGif, I learned that gifs are just repetitive showing of a video, or multiple images. This gives the file a different html, and therefore is used differently by websites. These gifs that are made are repetitions of the first seconds of the video, and that is why I encountered several problems with the files. For example, I was planning to do the gif of 'I double dare you' in Pulp Fiction, but because this didn't appear at the beginning, I couldn't do the gif.
Evidence of what I did (2 gifs per section):
Questions for Next Google Day:
1. How do you add text into the gifs?
2. Is it possible to edit files so they can be cut and then used in GifNinja?
3. Is there a way to make the gif in the website that is not the first seconds of the file?

Search Stories (google)
LINK TO WEBSITE: https://searchstories-intl.appspot.com/en-us/creator/
Purpose of the site: This site is a craetion of Google's video engine, Youtube. You get as a result a movie that shows all the searchings you do on Google and the best kind of results you chose. Then, this machine gets all of these and puts them together into a movie where you can show all of the things you've searched together.
How to use this site:
1. Enter all the search terms you want.
2. Choose whether to show Web Search, Images, Maps, News, Blog Search, Product Search, or Books.
3. See the preview below on how all the searches you put turn out in the clip
4.When done, go to 'Add Music'
5. Choose what type of music to choose between 3 types of Action, Comedy, Country & Western, Drama, Family, Horror, Sci-fi, and Romance
6. Preview the final result, and if you are unsatisfied with the results you can change the story or the music
7. Give it a title, genre, description and upload it to Youtube!
Example of how Camila Toro used the site: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJzAHG7dqfE&hl=en_GB&fs=1
How other students can use this website:
Projects: Students can take advantage of this amazing tool by using it in projects. When class work requires information about any special event in history or a remarkable character, they can use this website to show all the information and research about this topic. Also, they can show maps and images or translation if they are doing something about geography. They can practically do it for anything!!
Entertainment: Students nowadays are surfing the internet more than ever. And, most of the times, they are on Facebook because they can't do anything else. They could use this site to create a clip where they can show anything they want! They can do it just for entertainment, or show other fellow mates about their passion. It is very fun to do, and the results are amazing!

DIGITAL NATION
1. I disagree with the using of laptops in classes because they distract students from staying in focus. This results in a wasted lecture because nobody can gain from what is being taught. Technology can be a great advantage, but can also be used with great irresponsibility.
2. I disagree with multitasking because it is actually not possible. Thus, people think they can do many things at once perfectly, but end up doing both things half way. I believe that resulting with one thing very well though out is much better than resulting with three mediocre works.
3. I agree with the possibility of multitasking doubting because of testing results shown by scientists. People believe they can multitask, but when it comes to testing the ability, it is wrong
4. I disagree with the impossibility of multitasking because some people can be able to do many things at once, even though they don't do them right, they still are doing it.
5. I agree in the belief that people who think are good at multitasking but really aren't because, as stated before, testing results show that it is very hard to do many things at once.
6. I agree that technology is made to be most creative and not to distract because the technology is supposed to be used for innovative ideas, and using it in a useful way. But, many people are abusing this advantage to get distracted from the real life.
7. I agree that the conclusions of small use of the brain is better (reading) because it takes less energy of the human brain to do useful things. Therefore, using Google takes up more energy from the brains and causes more damage.
8. I disagree that the technology will be obsolete because it will always be present in everyday life. Eventually, something more innovative will come along later, but technology will always be essential for a human's life.
9. I agree it takes people a while to realize bad behaviors because they continue doing bad distractions and don't realize they are just wasting time.
10. I agree that technology is addictive because a whole bunch of people constantly practice these behaviors. Either it is video games or Facebook, we don't realize we are constantly on them.
11. I disagree with the PC system in Korea for playing video games because these places just open an advantage for addicts to keep on playing and using technology.
12. I agree that the addiction of technology is very bad for yourself because it makes you more distracted and everyday more dependent of those.
13. I agree that technology addiction should be treated as in Korea because if every country starts treating addicts with specialized camps, they would realize what is going on with them and could shorten the usage of technology.
14. I agree that the fighting games shouldn't exist because they simulate violence and encourage gamers to do the same in real life and enjoying being violent.
15. I agree with the free internet rescue camps because they make children with addiction problems get over technology and realize their issue and how they have done it for a long time. (like rehab)
16. I disagree that technology can help us evolve into new human beings because, even though we can learn a lot from the internet, we also bring many disadvantages within.
17. I agree technology has changed to something one does to the way one lives because of the constant usage and addiction of it. Now, instead of using it to help us once in a while, we made it part of our daily routine.
18. I disagree teaching online and reading because kids learn basic needs for life and are starting to meet technology. The younger the kid learns about computers, the younger they will start becoming addicted.
19. I agree to be teaching how to use computers responsibly because they can use computers responsibly (as everyone should) and gain as most as possible without it affecting them.
20. I agree that the world requires kids to do stuff instead of knowing what they say because in the real world the one who becomes most successful is the one who creates more innovations instead of the one who knows the most but does nothing.
21. I disagree that technology is like oxygen because, even though people think they depend in technology, previous generations have managed to survive without them.
22. I agree that the power of games is creating an imaginary world were you can be better than what you really are, and that is why it attracts many people.

What are colleges looking for in a strong applicant (Ivy league vs. top tier vs. middle tier)?
-links to websites where you found useful information (at least 3)
-Summary of the information you found that answered the question/topic (this needs to be a well written, informative paragraph or two that others could read and find the answer to the question)
When comes the time to apply to college, you have to be prepared and realistic for the decisions that will be taken. Taking some tests is necessary, and being unique. One of the most qualified schools (Ivy League or Top Tier) are constantly looking for students that are different and can contribute to their university. Therefore, you have to find something that will separate you from the masses. Firstly, being a top student is fundamental. If having bad grades is an issue, then looking at medium tier is a better option. Having around a 3.8+ GPA is what they look at. Besides being a top student, having a good performance in the SAT is essential for the application process. Because grades vary throughout high schools, SAT is the only way they can actually test their knowledge. Interviews, teacher recommendations, and essays also have a high weight in the process of admission. Some colleges put more importance in some parts than in others, but one thing is certain. If you are involved in many after school activities, clubs, or sports, you have a good shot in being considered. Be diverse and unique!!
-New questions you have about this topic. (at least 1)
-What could you do to enter an Ivy League if you have regular grades?
White hat hacking
-What you know about the topic before your research
-I am not sure of anything about this topic. I do know that hacking has to do with breaking into the codes and getting into websites without any permission (passwords).
-What you wonder or questions you have about the topic before researching (at least 2)
1. How is the process of this topic?
2. Why is it called white hat hacking?
-Links to where you found the most useful information (at least 2, NOT Wikipedia, although you can use it to help you)
-Bullet list of things you learned about the topic (at least 5)
-Finds the weaknesses in security networks and computers, just like a normal hacker
-Instead of taking malicious advantage of these, they help the network to enforce them before someone else can take advantage of them
-The people who do take advantage of them, and the most known, are the black hat hackers
-The name comes from old western movies, where the good guy usually wore a white hat and the bad guys wore black hats.
-White hats are offered certification for their help from the NSA.
-Usually assigned by a company or vendor to help them strengthen their security systems.
-A short summary of how this topic connects/relates to you or your life
This topic mainly describes how some bad things can be shaped into good things, in order to make this world a better place. White hat hacking may connect to me and my life in the way in which decisions that we take can radically change our lives. We can choose either do good things or get influenced by peer pressure. But, if we look at some situations in a different way, we can take good things from these. Then, we would be doing good actions instead of bad decisions. Hacking for good is a great example of how we can get bad things and use them for good, and if we develop this skill, we could shape the world for good.
-Questions you still have (at least 1)
-Are there any cases were white hats take advantage of these privileges and do bad things?
-Who started this 'movement'? How did it begin?

Google day 1
Goals for today:
1. Start my blog
2. Decorate blog and make labels
3. Start brainstorming gifs
1. www.yeahbuddylegifs.blogspot.com
Weebly was a good site to start off with my blog. It let me decorate it, make labels, and will soon let me start posting my awesome gifs.
2. gifninja.com
Gif Ninja will soon let me start making gifs.
3. anyclip.com
This website will let me choose any of the movies there is, and start getting parts which I want to turn into gifs for my blog.
*** I couldn't do everything required today due to the fact that I attended a meeting with the principal and another man to discuss about the school itself, and how to make it a better place.

Google 20%
The first time this project was brought up in class, I thought of Gif making. I own a personal tumblr, and I always encounter gifs. I am a big fan of movies; in fact, I want to work in the industry when I grow up. Therefore, I watch a lot of movies. Gifs are made with some small parts of certain film projects, which makes me like them more. By doing this project, I would like to develop certain skills which will help me in the future. These skills would include how to separate a short part of a movie and use it to make a gif.
After developing this skill, I would like to make a blog of my own gifs. The blog (either weebly or tumblr) would be divided into categories. These categories would be certain movies, tv shows, or other film production that I can use to make gifs. By doing this, I would display gifs that I have done, made into groups that apply to the development of my skills. Hopefully, all the gifs will represent all sorts of movies and quotes which I find interesting.
